Think we’re thirsty for some football? The very first televised game of the NFL pre-season, the otherwise meaningless Minnesota Vikings-Pittsburgh Steelers Hall of Fame Game, garnered higher television ratings than the Stanley Cup Finals. Back to work, Mr. Bettman.
Since kick off of the NFL season is less than a month away, what better time to host our fifth annual over/under contest.
The rules, as you all know by now, are simple. The contest will run as in year’s past. Choose ten teams’ over/unders as listed below and rank them from ten points to one by how confident you feel that team will win either over or under that many games. Please include your tiebreaker: total actual combined victories for the three Florida teams. All entries must be listed in the comments section below by kick off of Thursday night’s opening game on September 10.
This year’s winner, like Hanahan, Ravenous, Speedbeagle and Buck Fenson before them, will win a SportsChump t-shirt, whatever other fabulous prize I can dig up before season’s end and official entry into the SportsChump Pick ‘Em Hall of Fame, which in all honesty, is the best prize of them all.
