Jay-Z leaves Mel Gibson-like rant on LeBron James voice mail: A parody (video)

Apparently Dan Gilbert, Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, Charles Barkley and the entire city of Cleveland aren’t the only ones upset that LeBron James has left the Cavaliers.  Allegedly, his best bud, hip-hop mogul and part owner of the New Jersey Nets, Jay-Z, is also angry with King James’ decision to fly south for the winter.

Since leaving vulgar voice mails is all the rage these days (see Mel Gibson), I thought it would be funny if Jay-Z called up LeBron and left a similar voice mail.  Earmuffs, kids.

So, without further ado, from the same people who brought you such classics as Tiger’s (Out of the) Woods Driving School video, I hereby present “Jay-Z leaves Mel Gibson-like Rant on LeBron James’ voice mail.”

We can neither confirm nor deny that this message was actually left on LeBron’s cell phone.

Yo yo yo I think Jigga is on to something but this is strictly business with LeBron. But according to his (LBJ) fiancee she’s not happy that they’re moving to Miami with the kids in tow either . So I guess that Bron Bron will have to put a big size friggin’ bauble on each of her fingers ?

    tophatal ………… 🙂

  2. Snake…. let’s just say it was fun to make.

So, Shaq to the Celtics, huh?

Have you been able to deal with that?

I guess it’s a good move. As you mentioned, cornering the market on big O’Neals will help buy some time in the middle until Perk gets back.

How funny is it that Shaq might have one last shot to play against two guys he won a ring with (Wade, Kobe) and one he didn’t (LeBron)?

  3. I also heard on the radio the other day, Snake, that next year’s Boston Celtics roster will have a combined 54 All-Star Game appearances, shattering the previous record of 39 that was held by the Los Angeles Lakers of Shaq, Kobe, Payton and Malone.

  4. Haha, JAy-Z must be pissed by the moves Prohkorov made over the offseason. They didn’t get one big name!

Jay-Z should’ve given him Beyonce to come to NJ. They could’ve made millions on the Indecent Proposal movie rights!

  5. You know what the legendary “homer” Johnny Most used to say? He hated any opposing player in the NBA. Called them thugs and cheapshot artists, UNTIL they got signed by the Celtics. Then they were gods in Boston. Shaq will be alright. Never count the Celtics out for the Finals.

  6. Chap…

Good point. They’ve just redone “Death at a Funeral” so why not the African-American version of “Indecent Proposal?”

    I’ll talk to my agent.

  7. Snake…

I like the move. Those guys are all pros and they should all get along just fine.

That’s probably going to be a really fun clubhouse.

And now at least Shaq doesn’t have to worry about getting his shot blocked by Nate in a game anymore…. only in practice.

  8. Let’s put it this way, Al.

I think Shaq has a lot more to contribute to a team like the Celtics than T-Mac does to the Pistons.

I just don’t see where he has anything left in the tank.

Only Hollywood can rework a classic French piece of cinema and make it actually bad from start to finish . Chris Rock can be funny but when it comes writing for the movies he really does need to let the professionals do it.

ESPN’s Jim Gray says his credibility has come into question because Ryder Cup captain Corey Pavin called him a liar concerning their conversation with regard to Woods’ participation in the event. I’d say Gray’s credibility went right out of the window the moment ESPN paid LeBron $250,000 for that tepid interview concerning him leaving Cleveland for Miami !

Former Pats’ player Tedy Bruschi doesn’t believe that Derrick Brooks is a first ballot Hall of Famer. Another blithering idiot employed by ESPN who simply doesn’t know what the hell he’s talking about. If in his mind Brooks isn’t a Hall of Famer I’d hate to hear his thoughts on Marshall Faulk !

Revis and the Jets are said to be $40 million apart on their thinking as to his contract. He wants a 10 yr $160 million deal with close to $90 million as a signing bonus. The Jets’ offer 10 yrs $120 million . So what happens now ?

Jets’ owner Woody Johnson believes the player may well choose to sit out the entire regular season .

    🙂

    tophatal ……… 🙂

  11. Kinda torn on that “Death” remake. I may just wait for the DVD and have Chris Rock’s “Kill The Messenger” tide me over til then.

And for Bruschi to say D Brooks is not a first ballot Hall of Famer is simply asinine.
